Children's Yoga & Mindfulness Summer Camp
(Age 8 -12) with Cathy Duff
Cathy combines her love and passion for yoga and literacy in a camp designed for your child to take what they learn and experience beyond the mat!
She brings 30 + years of classroom teaching to this program and has designed learning stations where kids will take part in various activities.
A typical day will include a yoga asana (posture) practice including partner poses to allow your child to connect to and feel empowered in their body, calm their minds, and improve their sense of well being, along with
- Yoga related crafts and activities – including yoga games, mindfulness walks, rock art, grateful jars, stress balls.
- Guided meditation, breathing techniques, and journaling
- Bibliotherapy – through the reading and discussion of books and other printed material, children can help begin to understand the developmental and emotional milestones they may be experiencing
- Social emotional learning blocks – a rotation of fun and educational activities and resources that focus on giving the children the tools they need to understand and manage emotions, feel and show empathy for others, and establish and maintain positive relationships
The program will help to empower a child’s imagination, mindful senses, breath awareness, and send of gratitude while encouraging kindness and self-compassion in a safe caring environment.
Kid’s who are 7 and turning 8 by the end of 2025 are also welcome to join this camp.
