Mary Jo Marsden

Mary Jo has been practicing yoga since 2006.  She completed the Shakti Yoga Teacher Training (200-hour) program in 2012 and has attended various workshops and teacher training sessions since then. Mary Jo has shared her passion for yoga with Beginners, Prenatal, Chair, and Hatha Yoga students.

Currently, she has been teaching Gentle and Chair Yoga hoping to give students who need a slower, more introspective class the opportunity to practice in a safe and welcoming place. At Embody, Mary Jo teaches chair yoga and is a go-to sub for many of our classes.

Mary Jo strives to encourage students to be themselves, to come to the mat, breathe deeply, move carefully and be present in the moment. She believes,  “Much can be learned when we take time for ourselves, move with awareness, breathe deeply and quiet our minds.”
