Join Maria Hillier, Certified Yoga Therapist, for this three week series focused on all the ingredients for longevity and stability in daily movement and everyday life.  With an emphasis on building strength in a kind, accessible, progressive and mindful way, this series will focus on helping us move well, balance steadily, cultivate strength and reduce muscle and joint discomfort and pain.  We will focus on the full body, integrating core stability with upper and lower body strength, along with mindfulness and breathing techniques to cultivate calm and steady within.

This workshop is accessible, inclusive and suitable for people of all ages.   No previous yoga experience is necessary and beginners are welcome.  There will be movement from the floor (lying and seated) to standing with chairs available for support.

After each weekly session, you’ll have access to audio recordings and movement videos inspired by each weekly session so you can practice at home (available for one month after the end of the session).

Recording of class available for 24 hours after class.

Join Maria Hillier, Certified Yoga Therapist, for a two hour workshop designed to cultivate self-love and self-compassion through a blend of gentle and therapeutic Yin Yoga and Self Myofascial Release (self-massage), Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra.  Guiding you through a session that is both heartful and mindful, we will focus on gentle movement and supported stillness along with meditation and breathing techniques to nurture the body, heart and mind.   Self-compassion will be at the heart of the session as we take time to nourish our self-awareness and self-acceptance, listening into our bodies, moving with intention and resting deeply.

Peace Within: Therapeutic Yoga for Anxiety, Stress and Burn-Out

Join Maria Hillier, Yoga Therapist C-IAYT, for a three week series to foster peace, calm and resilience to help with everyday anxiety, stress and burnout. Taught with self-kindness and self-compassion in mind, this series offers attendees evidence-based practices that help to calm and nourish the nervous system including mindful and accessible yoga (gentle flow and restorative), breathing, meditation and relaxation tools such as Yoga Nidra and self-massage.

This series is taught through a trauma informed lens with a focus on creating an inclusive and inviting space for everyone. No previous yoga experience is required and this class is suitable for absolute beginners.

What you’ll learn:

  • How anxiety, stress and burnout affects the body, the mind and the nervous system
  • Yoga poses and sequences to cultivate calm, steadiness and inner peace
  • Breathing practices and mindfulness techniques to help with anxious and stressful times both on and off the mat
  • Self-inquiry, self-compassion and self-care practices to foster kindness and gentleness in challenging times

What you’ll receive:

  • Three 90 minute classes either in person or online
  • Recorded videos (10-15mins) and audio recordings of Yoga Therapy tools and techniques to support you each week
  • Small class size to foster community as we move, breath and learn together
