These classes blend yoga and neuroscience-informed practices to support healthy connective tissue, regulate the nervous system, and gently release tension held in both the body and mind. Through mindful movement, you’ll begin to shift habitual stress patterns, such as fight, flight, or freeze, while restoring hydration, elasticity, and resilience in the fascia.

Breathwork and somatic awareness are woven throughout to help discharge stress and deepen body connection, while guided relaxation supports integration so you leave feeling grounded, restored, and re-energized.

Participants may experience improved mobility and/or coordinate, reduced pain, and a greater sense of calm and overall wellbeing.

Tina Pomroy is a 200-hr certified yoga teacher with additional training in neurofascial yin yoga, traditional yoga studies in India, chair yoga, Yoga Nidra, yoga for mental health and addictions, yoga for trauma, somatic dance, meditation, and more. Tina is also a Canadian Certified Counsellor with additional training and knowledge in trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, menopause, and ADHD. She brings this therapeutic lens to her teaching.

The retreat I attended with Tina Pomroy in May/ 16 was amazing.  Although I wasn’t sure what to expect, Tina is a great leader and put me at ease right away, while allowing us to follow our own level of comfort in participation.  The yoga sessions were great and encouraged my own adjustments.  I really enjoyed the creativity of art-making and journalling (even though I thought I wasn’t creative–my art is still hanging on my wall !).  Feelings of peace and happiness stayed with me for a full week after the retreat!…. I would highly recommend this to others!

Doing the yoga retreat last year in Ochre Pit Cove was a wonderful experience. My husband and I both had a great weekend. The outline of the three days was perfectly designed and every activity was enjoyable and transformative. I learned so much from Tina and her guests and participants. We all shared and laughed and had such a good time that many of us are still in touch! In addition, it launched a renewed energy and interest for yoga that has lasted even nearly a year later. We now practice together daily. If you are considering this workshop, stop! Don’t consider, just do. It is an investment in your yoga practice and in yourself.

This workshop was by far one of the best things I have done for myself.  With a group of people I didn’t even know I laughed, I danced, I did yoga, I chanted and felt could move mountains with the sounds I created, I painted, I meditated, I journaled, I felt peaceful and free, empowered and energized.  A fantastic experience, with delicious vegan (thank you) food,  that I would do again in a heartbeat.
