Do you sometimes feel like your body is seizing up?

Do you make certain movements and your mind says yes but your body says no?

Do you feel like your yoga practice or exercise regime could use a tweak?

Gentle, Targeted Fascia release using yoga balls or tennis balls might give you just the edge you need to enhance mobility, facilitate muscle lengthening, and promote muscle strengthening.

In this two hour workshop, you will learn how to use Yoga balls to release tight and painful areas in the body. Fascia is woven throughout your muscles, bones, nerves, arteries, veins and organs. Fascia is one continuous structure throughout your body. Each part of your body is connected to it in some way. If you have a tightness or knotting in the fascia tissue in one part of your body, it can cause pain and discomfort in another. Normally, fascia is meant to be flexible and stretchy. It provides structural support to your body and protects your muscles Unfortunately day to day living can result in fascia becoming tight.

Using Yoga Therapy balls, tennis balls, and other yoga props, you will be guided through a series of postures to find and address those tight spots in your body. Tightened trigger points can restrict your muscle and joint movement. You may have pain at the site of a trigger point or widespread pain throughout your body.

You will be on the hunt for Trigger points: stiff areas in your fascial tissue. These trigger points help identify and bring softness to tangled paths in your body, paths that are a source of discomfort that need fixing!

The session will also include Basic yoga poses, designed to help you observe shifts in range of motion and awareness of pathways to muscle groups.

Come along and enjoy with low lighting, a relaxing playlist, lots of props and modifications, all with a focus on the breath.

Keep it soft, open the energy channels.
