Cheryl Fenk
RYT 200
Cheryl is amazed at how even five minutes of moving and breathing on the mat can alter her perception of herself and the world. She began exploring various styles of yoga in 1995, and completed a 200-hour Akhanda Yoga Teacher Training with Yogi Vishvketu in 2008. This experience inspired her to seek more joy in her life – both on and off the mat. Around the same time she undertook the challenge of a silent 10-day Vipassana Meditation Retreat, which had a profound effect on both her yoga and her work in holistic wellness.
In recent years, Cheryl has been drawn to explore Yin Yoga (200-hour teacher training with Stephanie Calhoun) and Restorative Yoga (40-hour teacher training with Andrea Peloso). These practices leave her feeling more kind hearted to herself and the beings around her. Through time in nature, snuggles with her cutie cats and daily walks with her dog Cookie, she strives to cultivate present moment awareness. Cheryl is grateful for the opportunity to share the gifts of slowing down, becoming still and moving inward.
